Stella Mulberry Antic holds a Ph.D. in higher education administration with a cognate in student affairs from the University of North Texas. Her dissertation topic was Political Identity of First-Year College Students: An Analysis of Student Characteristics Using Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) Data. She also holds a master of education in counseling and student services from UNT, as well as undergraduate degrees in marketing and economics from Southern Methodist University.
Dr. Antic has extensive professional experience in the areas of assessment, action research, grant writing, event management, leadership development, student organization advisement, campus programming, service-learning and community service programming, new student orientation, and fraternity and sorority affairs.
Dr. Antic is currently works in the Division of Student Affairs at UNT as the Assistant Director of Research and Assessment. In this role, she conducts research related to student populations using primary and secondary data. She is also working to develop processes to create a statistical model of student retention using direct evidence of program and service usage patterns. Dr. Antic provides consulting support to Division staff on their assessment and research projects, and assists with the oversight, support, and implementation of the Division-wide assessment process and plan. Before coming to UNT, she worked in various roles at The University of Texas at Dallas and at her alma mater, SMU.
Dr. Antic is a life member and alumni volunteer for Alpha Phi Omega, a national co-educational service fraternity. She has served ΑΦΩ at the chapter, sectional, regional, and national levels since she pledged the Alpha Omicron Chapter at SMU in Spring 1996. In December 2010, she served as the lead advisor to the National Board of Directors Nominating Committee at the Fraternity's 41st Biennial Convention. She has been honored with two Distinguished Service Keys from chapters in the DFW area in recognition of her contributions. In her spare time, Dr. Antic enjoys food blogging, hiking, and spending time with her husband, Dan.
